The transition from GCSE to A Level Mathematics can be particularly challenging, with students facing a significant increase in both the depth and pace of learning. A Level Maths demands a more advanced understanding of each topic, and the fast-moving curriculum often leaves little time to consolidate knowledge.
To ease this transition, I propose a six-week summer course focused on key Year 1 A Level Pure Mathematics topics. The course will not only introduce new A Level content but also revisit essential GCSE concepts from a fresh perspective. The aim is to provide a low-pressure, supportive environment that builds both foundational skills and student confidence ahead of Year 12.
Course Structure:
· Duration: 6 weeks
· Frequency: 1 session per week
· Length: 1.5 hours per session
· Focus: One core Pure Mathematics topic per week
Week 1
Quadratic Functions
Week 2
Polynomials
Week 3
Coordinate Geometry. Circles
Week 4
Trigonometry
Week 5

Week 6

Availability for optional extra consolidation lessons after the conclusion of the course.
NOTE: The exact time and dates of lessons can be amended according to the availability of students
